Bret Cavanaugh currently lives and works in the Delaware Valley, where he designs and builds furniture. He also runs a design and fabrication business there.

Bret works in a variety of styles, including new modern, country modern, and recycled modern. He often uses found materials in his production, and his pieces have an organic richness and clarity of line. Bret has cultivated his vision through years of working with his hands and through a diverse education acquired in the shops of such craftspeople as woodworkers, metal fabricators, leatherworkers, and antique car restorers. Bret is continually developing his craft and forging new takes on modern design.

Bret has had solo exhibitions of his furniture at Myles Cavanaugh Fine Art in Lambertville, New Jersey, in 2006 and 2007. His wooden flatware is on display at Peach Girl Flowers in Lambertville, New Jersey.
